How to beat a bouncy surface
Adventures into the wonderful world of Craps.
From novice to mastery in Dice Setting, Dice Control, Dice Influence and Craps Betting Strategy.
Wow how time flies.
So what can I do.
Peer pressure got me there today.
And my work friends wanted to show me how.
And the dealer cut me out some blue colour chips.
My friends were showing me to bet a street and 6 lines.
What I did find amusing was the hole in the table for the automated chip sorter.
The lady dealer was scraping in all the chips at the end of each spin decision.
Several players had joined us.
And there were chips every where.
I had no idea how the dealer was tracking the none coloured chips.
At one point I was about to say to the dealer, you need a bigger hole, but caught myself at the last second.
In fact I can work on my laptop or phone and play the mini bac machines without missing a beat on either work or the see more />My friends lost their money at roulette as well.
So it was now time to introduce them to craps.
Which was my ultimate plan.
Both sides and all the old regular players from a year ago were there.
Two of the dealers remembered me.
They should I guess I used to go every week.
My friends joined me and we took SR1, SR2, SR3 With 2 virgin shooters on each side I thought my luck would be golden.
The table was very cold.
No one could make a point.
Why buck the trend.
Lay go here odds each time.
On my last hand I wanted to back myself as I was getting my confidence back.
Alas five rolls later and 7 out.
For when my friends had the dice.
And my friend at SR1 went on the only decent hand of the session.
About 17 rolls total.
Made some money back on that hand.
rtg casinos with slot tournaments 2020 very happy for him.
Hands in the bowel blocking the end wall, money now on the table stopping the shooter.
The regulars were groaning.
They could see she was new, the dealers knew she was new.
But they appeared to be more upset with me for letting it happen.
Guess what the next roll was.
Way to make friends and influence people at the craps table.
The regulars were not impressed.
It was very nice to introduce new players to craps.
Super nice that the craps table is still there.
And both sides open.
They paused for a second thinking about it.
And just paid it.
Slow cuts ground me out.
Everyone was in the same boat.
Each year we host a Halloween party and 2019 was no different.
This will be the 3rd year since introducing playing craps at the party.
Well the Halloween party was a hit.
Had 12 people around the table link a couple in the wings that had to watch as there was no more space left.
The 3rd shooter went on a hot roll and hit 4 points and multiple numbers.
Rolled for about 45 mins and I called the game before he could seven out.
The other players where happy winning but really wanted to throw the dice.
We only did one 1 hour session.
We were just too busy hosting.
I should have got one of the kids to take photos.
Last number slots magic no deposit 2020 9.
He got lucky and jumped the lead.
Or I need to look into how craps bouncy table covers comps are run and do it that way.
Everyone doubled their money at least and were very happy with themselves.
We have a golden arm award and a overall craps winner.
On another more somber note I need to mention my casino comps.
You can validate on any table game or machine.
Went to the drink machine to get my free softdrink and my card was denied.
WTF is going on.
I was not aware of this little nugget of wisdom, if I did I would have dropped in to play a game machine for 5 mins to keep them valid.
They expired 2 weeks ago in mid October.
I was going to take the wife to dinner and drinks and use the points on room at the newly renovated Gold Coast casino.
I tried to sweet talk them to give them back to me but they said it was not possible.
I call BS on that.
The time is getting away from me.
Apparently when I host a Craps night we are just too darn loud.
The first craps get together was for my old boys soccer team breakup which happened in September.
Should make for some interesting viewing.
You can see how I approach teaching the game to newbies and my dreadful dealing skills.
Now as an extra bonus for you.
I need to add in some more nut inserts to make this faster for next time, between the legs and the table top.
In the end this took 2 hours, and it would have taken 1 hour if I had of had a second person to help.
On another side note I want you to check out 2 great craps podcasts called 1.
I thoroughly recommend and endorse them.
Leave me a comment here or drop me an email at podcast crapsjourney.
You can download a PDF of it from my website.
I have a set of dice and stash of old chips that I keep at work.
So I quickly had 6 people now learning how to play craps.
And several others looking on.
It was a good session and they enjoyed it and started to see why I like just click for source so much.
Truely great to see.
Once visit web page session was done, I packed my gear and escaped from our work Christmas party around 6pm and quickly got to casino 2 mins later.
Half table was open as per usual.
And it was packed with 6 players.
I headed back to work to pickup my bag.
And collect some colleagues that said they were keen to hit the craps table with me.
They had settled into drinking the night away.
So I grabbed only one who was keen and left the party.
Unfortunately he was already drunk and in no condition to gamble.
I should have put him in a taxi and sent him home.
I consider that an absolute joke.
With several cameras monitoring the area and all the security guards on the payroll.
On returning to the table there were only 4 players now and I slipped in at SL-2.
I stuck my drunk work friend in the hook near the dealer out of the way.
He had no idea what was going on, but was just happy to watch the theatre of the game.
I used to get very nervous to the point where I would have trouble throwing.
And showing my increased time at playing the game is starting to overcome any of the nerves.
So I effectively play 2 seperate games at the same time.
I was just focusing on hitting the same landing spot and keeping the dice low and slow and trying not to let them split apart to much.
I had one hand with 5 come out rolls before getting on a point.
I need to learn about world or whirl bet.
Anyone got some pointers for me to try?
We just had our annual Halloween party.
Last year was just a makeshift half table.
See episode 53 for all about that one and some photos.
With space for up to 10 players I was gearing up for a big craps session.
We had quite a few new players from last year.
And those that played last year were very keen but needed a refresher course.
I am still trying to work out the best way to get new players quickly into the game without completely confusing them with the myriad of bets that they see in front of them.
Thinking back 25 years ago to when I first started playing craps I watched others and slowly picked it up that way.
If so let me know.
There will be 2.
Craps champ with highest bankroll and golden arm with longest roll.
Another very interesting session followed where there were dark siders and passline players.
Trying their luck with both sides trying to beat the game.
It was a very different game to last year.
I was once again humbled that my party goers embraced continue reading side play on their first craps outing.
I explained the higher probability for rolling a seven over the other numbers each roll, and they just worked it out that dark siding would be a good idea.
That is until one of the players got on a monster roll.
Banging out the place numbers.
The prop bet players were left scratching their heads, wondering what was going on.
Having lost a fair bit of money.
I had to call a time out for a drinks and desert break.
Of course none of them know about energy draining events EDE and not to break the rhythm of the shooter.
But I needed food and another couple of beers.
After the break they continued for a few more rolls and then 7 out.
It was at that point I knew we had our golden arm winner for the night.
They were very happy with themselves.
Someone asked me how I would have bet that hand.
I felt a bit bad because I would have made quite a lot.
Compared to what everyone else did.
Even with a conservative press schedule, it would have left hundreds on the table.
It was then I realised that what they were missing was the benefit of watching what other more seasoned players do at the table.
And picking up ideas of different bets to try and what the outcome of those bets are.
I can then explain the plays as I make them and the others can then play whatever bets they like.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable night.
PS For my fancy dress I called myself craps bouncy table covers dice doctor if only and had my eighties hair style back and dressed in scrubs.
Definitely you would not want me operating poker770 bonus code 2020 you.
I looked thoroughly dodgey.
And I come last.
However I have not been idle by any means with my Craps Journey.
I have a few photos to share see belowas I have spent considerable time to put together my Craps Table which was stuck in storage for nearly a year.
So now is as good as any to dedicate a podcast episode for how my table came to be.
Of course this is a risky venture since you are buying a table from a manufacturer in another country that you only can see photos of what they produce or supposedly produce.
With a lot of trepidation I was chatting with 2 vendors for over 1 month to pick the one that I thought would do the best job and most importantly deliver the table to me in Australia.
The table I wanted was an 8ft 2.
All of the tables they had previously built were only 1m wide, but I wanted it to be as wide as possible.
I wanted the table to be portable.
And by portable I mean, be able to be broken down and moved from room to room or place to place and put back together again.
I have many videos on my how to build a craps table page of people building tables that can break down as needed.
So I took ideas from them and put in some of my own and gave the vendor my instructions of what I wanted.
Now that was a 2 hour visit to the bank to make that happen.
Which was like pulling teeth.
One month ticked away and I was eagerly waiting for some photos of my craps table aka furniture art from the vendor.
Finally I was rewarded with photos, and it looked impressive.
Very clean job and well constructed.
Of course what can you really see from a photo.
In this case, it turned out, not the stuff I wanted to see.
I should have asked to see the table disassembled and with a clear showing of how to the table bolts back together again.
I was so caught up in getting the table to me.
The next stage after the build was harder than the actual build itself.
What a nightmare doing shipping from another country into Australia.
The broker provided me with all the forms, and more money was transferred to the broker to get things started.
Lots of paper work then ensued to get the broker what they need.
And play Craps I did.
For the grand total of 30mins.
Anyway I ended up showing up at the casino at 3:55pm and was shocked to see a full table in use with the only available spot in SL-3.
I have to put my DP chips in front of someone else.
It annoys me and them.
Everyone was a regular.
At least with a table in full swing throughout its open times, the management may not close it permanently.
With so many regulars it seemed like party poker bonus code for existing players 2020 except me had prop action.
The middle looked like a Christmas tree with the baubles on it.
Talk about a time suck.
A wife of a regular was the final shooter for me.
And literally you needed to have safety glasses on, for fear of a stray dice hitting you in the eye.
I was standing 2ft off the rail and was still concerned for my safety.
She was dangerous with just the force of throw.
After a few rolls she hit the ten hard.
Had to rush back to work.
Will try again next Friday.
And get back into the weekly craps groove.
I was upset about that.
So they are forcing people to play any other game or electronic machine.
The biggest issue is that my local casino has reduced the craps table hours yet again.
visit web page more craps at lunch time on Friday for me.
Which makes it really hard for me to get to the casino during the mid afternoon.
They have also closed Sunday totally.
Not much consolation if you ask me.
When you play through the week you get a ticket to go in the weekly draw.
I play baccarat and get my ticket each week and go in the draw.
Then I go there on Sunday night for the draw and play some more baccarat.
Of course I have had my down swings were I had to leave the casino on at a stage in my negative progression that I would not normally stop at.
But I just abort and pick up again from scratch not from where I was up to in the sequence.
And I hate sitting next to someone on a row of machines.
Usually when I go the place is next to empty and I can have my pick of any machine I like.
But steady as she goes for now.
And see just how awful my toss has become.
My home craps table is still in pieces.
Thanks to Seth Theobeau for the inspiration and knowledge he freely shares on his blog about Target Betting.
I suggest you read his whole blog from beginning to end.
Even just watching would be ok.
Which is good because I want it full all the time to prove to casino management that they should not put the table back in storage.
I just watched for a bit because I could see a longish hand in flight and enjoy a good shooting display.
From a guy who is a regular, which I would consider a rhythm roller.
I had reached into my bag to get my little tracking notebook and my little pencil and they were not in there usual spot in my bag.
I felt it was almost not worth going to the casino without it.
But as I said nothing was going to stop me.
Next hurdle was my cash.
Friggin wife and kids must have ransacked my wallet that morning.
Then press up and out from there if a hand developed.
I had the option of SR-2 or SR-6 position.
They were breaking in a new dealer but she was experienced so no issues there.
It was your basic grind session.
Not much to report.
I keep an eye on my bets.
Of course next roll after that was the seven.
I know being a dealer is hard work.
So in the end whatever the box says goes.
My only hand of they session was a 10 roll, shooting dark.
Got one point and all inside numbers.
Everyone was getting excited and always remarks dark side shooters are the best shooters.
If anyone knows let me know.
Was just making a nice come back after a few early losses and my time was up and I had to get back to work.
So I was itching to play.
Showed up at 3pm to make sure that the table regulars had bled out and left from a 12pm opening time.
Sure enough they had all left.
With one remaining and not many chips left to go.
Had a great session today where I was playing all sorts of plays, when the need arose.
Playing both dark side and right side.
I set for 3V with three finger top edge please click for source />I aimed for the big 6 box today and my target landing zone hit rate was very good today.
That worked well aiming for the seven.
I played OHCM play on the other regular at SL-1 And I would always step back to give him all the room he needed.
And expect the same in return.
I then pressed out and up from there.
Ticks my boxes for comfort and risk vs returns.
Just need to hit 3 numbers more than not hitting 3 numbers straight off the bat including the come out.
Can I do this.
My numbers tell me I can.
Interested in any feedback on this play, and if someone knows if it has a name please let me know.
Today I was all over the place.
Struggled to set fast and hit my landing spot.
Was never ahead today.
Had 4 hands today.
A random roller had a mini monster, and I got some more money back on that one fairly much back to my buy in.
The 3 PPSO shot me down.
I was only looking for 3 hits and down and got shot 3 times.
Oh well regroup for next time.
And time for me to play some baccarat while listening to my favourite podcasts and get my casino fund back up again.
The half table was full of regulars.
I have learned not to stick around and wait.
Went back to the craps game to find just 2 players left and SR-1 open, nice.
The table had apparently just finished off a couple casino reviews 2020 grand mondial hot rolls.
And the tide had turned.
Which I now know is why the table had thinned out.
Anyway after not playing for so long I was itching to have my turn with the dice.
Well as far as sessions go.
This was one of my worst as far as bet play goes.
article source had 15 sevens 9 of which were on the come out.
And then proceeded to https://indonesiaairsoft.com/2020/cherokee-poker-tournament-february-2020.html 5 sevens in a row.
Talk about shooting yourself in the face!
Lots of small bets instead of backing myself.
So I now have to reset my clock and prepare for next week as I continue to ease myself back into the game.
I built a better practice rig including some rubber diamonds for the back wall and with a small add on piece, it can take a proper 8ft single dealer layout.
I will add some pics of it soon.
I was going to build a full table with the help from Big Jeff who builds custom craps tables in the USA.
He does make truly beautiful craps tables.
He sent me 4 diamond rubber back pieces, and some routed chip rails to get me started.
My new practice receiving station which is 1.
I can then practice stick left or right or straight out.
The best part of the design is that I can add an extension onto it and use it as a half table with 8ft layout and use it with others to play some craps socially.
I have yet to introduce my friends to craps and was waiting for the full table to do so.
However I could wait no more.
We have a standing calendar booking for a Halloween Party each year where we invite neighbours and family friends.
So I took advantage of that, and I got the half table setup on the deck and after dinner and a couple of drinks I opened my first ever floating craps game.
See a few photos below.
It was total chaos, but after 10 mins they were getting the hang of it.
And they were for night silverstar two out 2020 casino farming the field and hitting the prop area.
Of course just my luck as first time dealer and it was a horn dream run for 30 mins.
So I was stumbling over horn and hardways payouts.
I explained the dark side being opposite of the right side.
And the probability of 7s showing more than any other.
I was humbled by that, and I never even pushed them one way or another.
They just worked it out on their own.
I even let the players place their own place bets and I was just making sure the bets were correct amounts and put them in the right position in the boxes so I could track players bets correctly.
It was a huge success and everyone was calling out numbers to hit and having a great time.
The other neighbours around must have wondered what was going on.
But they were all doing great.
The game would have kept going for hours.
I got them to colour up and was pleasantly surprised that 5 out of 6 had profit.
Some had a lot.
He was not happy.
So it was a close race.
The winner was one of the dark side players.
Which I was the most proud of.
Who was also the only one really betting the place bets and using it like a cash register.
So I thought I would participate with my own.
Feel free to share your story with me, and post a comment below.
My story is not as elaborate as how others found their way to become craps fans.
My family had no history or interest in gambling at all.
They never went Casino or played pokies.
However I was always keen to give it a go.
I was a geek and a nerd, so enjoyed the maths of gambling.
At that time, we only had one casino available to me which was 1 hour drive away at Gold Coast called Jupiters Casino.
In Australia, 18 is the legal age to go to night clubs, pubs, etc and I remember driving down to Jupiters casino with 3 of my friends to try out the casino and night clubs on the Gold Coast strip.
We were all very green and it was an eye opening experience.
There was also a night club that we enjoyed going to at the top level of the casino so we would gamble a bit and then hit the club for drinks and attempts to get with the ladies.
I look back on those days fondly and can laugh at it now.
Over many Saturday night trips we played most games in the casino.
None of them grabbed me at all, except for Craps.
Never would I bet anything else.
In all those years not one other type of bet.
I just knew it was better to back the 7 based on the math 2020 stolen casino bike reviews my limited in-game experience.
Finally one night in 2015, my wife and I took our close friends to the Brisbane Treasury Casino for a night out.
My friend had never played craps before and after a short intro from me, was betting all over the prop bets and winning microgaming casino deposit 2020 crazy.
I stuck with my base bet DP.
I was pissed off.
I am amazed and thankful that there is such a niche of knowledge around just this one game of dice.
Of course in no time, I found dicesetter.
What an awesome resource.
Which of course lead me to the various names in the Craps scene, including Heavy and all the others.
Player at SO and SL-1 I moved into SL-3 spot.
I have yet to see a really cold table but today was the day.
Those 2 guys were shocking with the dice.
I can do this all day long.
I guess he sees a lot of craps play and he is the most senior dealer.
I will admit that he is an excellent dealer and knows the table and bets backwards.
Which is why he is in the senior position.
It was over before it began.
Never seen that before.
The other 2 players burned through their buyin in about 40 mins.
Finally on my own again and moved to SL-1 At last a spot I can shoot from with confidence.
I was having a hard time at SL-3 and was slowly grinding down.
At SL-1 though I had a much better time.
Shot a 28 hand and then a 14 hand and got my money back and more then it was time to go back to work.
I was getting in a zone, so I was upset to leave when I had the table all to myself and also leaving the dealers to stand around there looking at each other with nothing to do.
I really hate that.
Casino : Treasury Brisbane Another week, another full half craps table.
I refuse to squeeze in, so 5 players per half on a 12 ft table is all they can take.
I learned that judging by player chips I can sort of tell if anyone is going to tank and leave the table.
The trouble is the regulars like me come in on Friday afternoon and they have a bad habit of going to the ATM and getting more money.
So they leave a couple of dollars in the rack and disappear for 5 mins, and come back with more.
So if the table is full then I give it up for the week and go and play some mini baccarat.
Not as good, but ok.
I play the target 3 play system and have been quite impressed with it.
Last week I did have a chance to play some Craps.
Half table right side.
Set for 3V Lost some on the other regular random rollers.
Then got the dice.
And pulled out a nice 21 hand.
So I took SO on the left side.
It really made me think how I was going to approach the betting.
I had to be careful not to over bet.
And built up and out from there.
Had a 20 hand and a 9 hand respectively.
Suited my bet play.
More players joined after my first hand.
And one newbie went on a roll.
I said to make my bets working on the come out, but no one heard me.
The box man looked over at me and the dice were in the air about to touch the table.
I started to repeat my call to be on.
But stopped half way as the dice had settled.
The box man was reaching for the on lammer poker tournament put on my chips.
The dice had settled on seven.
The box instructed to clear my bets.
Like they usually do.
Oh well no point fighting them about it.
I sat the rest of his hand out.
It was a real shame as he hit quite a few inside numbers that would have been nice.
Made some room and coaxed more players that were watching to join in.
I always do my part to bring in fresh blood to try to keep the table running.
Because management make the decision to keep the table on other factors.
But I know that if the table is packed as much as possible.
Then the table should stay.
I do know that for 7 years they abandoned the craps table.
And made a bit of noise and marketing about it when they brought the table back out of storage.
More table games article source them more slots.
They know where their bread and butter comes from.
Just played smart craps today, and after 45 mins realised my time was up.
I was happy to get my craps fix in at last.
Casino : Treasury Brisbane Showed up at the casino for my normal Friday session at around 12:30pm the table opens at 12pm and all the regulars were there with the half table full.
Looks like they were totally settled in so rather than wait for someone to leave and not get any action in my limited 1 hour window, I headed to the mini baccarat computer terminals.
They are spread around the casino and even on different floors.
All connected up to a centralised live dealer.
I chose one that allowed me to keep an eye on the table, just in case any spots opened up.
But this live terminal was the only one that would let me spy on the craps table.
Player won again and another missed payout.
WTF is going on.
I tried a third time and player won again and no payout.
So my bets were void.
I can understand a change of limit in between shoes.
But in the middle is just wrong.
Coloured up and out of that machine on principle.
Found one at the other end of the casino.
There is a hand dealt every 30 seconds, which is a good speed.
I just bet player only and followed the progressions and regressions as needed by the play.
It so simple that I was actually playing craps on my phone at the same time.
Finished off with a couple of losing bets in the cycle.
So I think I just need to go at 1:30pm which gives the regulars time to let their chips drain away and leave.
Will try again next week.
Only had to wait a few mins before I got the dice.
I needed to tip toe in to test the water and warm up.
The table was touted as cold by the other players.
Smashed out a 33 hand straight out of the gate.
Had everything covered and doing well.
The 4 come out 7s in a row was very popular and profitable among the punters.
Started with my DP 3 play and after I got to level 3 switched to pass line and backed myself.
Certainly turned the tide for the others at the table.
I never got to the third hand.
What was nice was a fellow dark sider at the table.
Very young must have been early 20s.
He was doing DP with laying odds and DC and laying place numbers all over the place.
And putting money on the doctor.
I offered to take over since he was having a decent hand and I had the numbers all covered.
They put money on the PL for him.
And refused to put it on the DP which he wanted to continue with.
Was still a good role.
Not as busy as last week.
But 12ft half table was full.
I refuse to squeeze in between players.
No matter that I only get 1 hour and 1 opportunity to play each week.
The other players were regulars.
So found a machine near the craps table that I could keep an eye on the table.
Did the target 3 play system, which I like because it suits my method of play.
Basically capitalising on doubles.
Played for 30 mins not even sitting in the chair and hardly paying attention to it.
Kept looking in between hands every 30 seconds to get a spot at the craps table.
At 30 mins of basically doing my emails while playing, I got crabby because there were still no Craps spots, and I also come the casino to get away from doing work for a bit.
Finally at 45 mins a spot opened up and I saddled up to table and went to buy in and realised I had no cash!.
My money was on a slip of paper receipt from the mini baccarat.
With just 15 mins left.
Told everyone see you next week.
The dealers seemed to be actually disappointed for me, because they know I only get a short time.
They know to look after the regulars.
Still sitting at 1% profit.
By Yuri 1998 This book has been on my todo reading list for a long time.
Unfortunately this one is print only so had to wait for it to get shipped to me in Australia from Amazon USA.
The sort of math that makes your head spin and eyes glaze over.
Unless you are a math geek.
Of which I am not.
So I appreciated Yuri explaining the math of the throw including diagrams.
Not 7spins casino no deposit bonus codes betting probabilities that most books and websites have.
Essentially this book takes you through from beginning to end with dice influence and covers all the aspects of the throw set, stance, grip, toss.
He includes some variants of each to allow you to find what works for you.
However I believe Yuri gives enough information to allow you to enter your practice sessions with confidence that you are throwing the way he explains.
And therein lies the key.
You have to implement and scientifically trial the approach and throws until you master it.
Which of course takes a long time and lots of practice.
Systematically trialing the different sets, grips, stance, and toss.
Of course nothing beats one on one tuition craps bouncy table covers learning from someone that has already taken the time to master the throw.
However if you are not able to find or have a teacher available in your neck of the woods, then the next best teaching tool is https://indonesiaairsoft.com/2020/borgata-poker-live-stream-2020.html />Which is why video is so important for Craps students.
Now this book was printed in 1998, so I appreciate it is what it is.
And there are no online resources to support it.
However in 2017 as I write this, I feel a short video from Yuri or one of the teachers that have worked it out put online and referenced in the book would really complete this book and the concepts that he goes to great lengths to explain in print.
I know that adding a video then makes it a mini course not just a book.
But if this book was converted to an Amazon Kindle digital download and also adding a video inside it, it would really set this book apart from any other.
But it would be worth it.
Overall I think a must for any dice influencer to have in their Craps library.
But it had 4 staff on it.
And both side were open.
It was a real nice feeling to be playing on a full table.
Lots of chances for my dark side play.
Some guy was in SL1 just watching.
So I immediately moved to that spot and asked him politely to move.
The other side was packed and one of the regulars was in the middle of a good hand.
Waited and bought in after he made a point.
Got a couple of hits and covered my outlay before he SO.
Went dark on everyone else including myself until I warm up.
Points of interest for me.
The box man was as surprised as me.
He lasted 5 mins and was gone.
No longer a lay virgin.
Nice 3 Lay odds on 4 and 10 DP.
Dealers helped me position my chips to the left of the original DP.
They said dark side shooters are the best shooters.
Everyone laughed including me.
I reloaded with a bigger DP and made them eat their words.
Felt good doing the moves and twisting with the table.
I only got carbon poker bonus payouts 2020 hand in today and it was shockingly bad.
I knew I was as tight as fish due to lots of yard work had stuffed my throwing shoulder.
But even with a bad throw had a great time.
One of my most enjoyable sessions.
Just the betting rhythm I was in and reading the table and the players.
Took the family for some time away and travelled through the week to Cairns in far North Queensland at the top of Australia to see the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree rainforest.
Such a beautiful place.
But never got around to it.
Costs a fortune of course.
Upsets me that I can go to New Zealand much cheaper than see my own country.
One of my bucket list items was to snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef.
So just had to do it.
What a good feeling.
Reaching out to touch them.
I know why people travel the world to snorkel and dive now.
Cairns has a casino but no craps.
I went into the casino to check it out.
But had the family with me so no time to play.
So it appears that not only do we only have one table that is only open during small windows that we only have a few dealers that can work the table.
Perhaps I should become a craps dealer to help them out.
Second thought no thanks.
I found a computer terminal that had 2 x roulette a sic bo and a mini baccarat running on it.
Must be my lucky day.
I know Heavy has a baccarat system.
Had some emails to catch up on so did that in between hands as well as play mini baccarat.
And I only bet banker in this session.
Just click the following article to keep track of bet size not where to bet.
The 50c came from banker 6 hand which pays 1:2 instead of commission on each banker hand.
I thought this is it.
Went and asked the pit boss looking after baccarat and he tells me the staff are at a union meeting over a pay dispute.
Alas I lost all my fake money on a massive player shoe when I was backing banker against the trend.
I was never ahead once this session.
And I had to initiate my 50% stop loss again.
Set the standard 3V, soft low toss, but put a fair bit of spin on them, one bounce to back wall and drop to rest.
That is my big hurdle working out what to adjust to minimise the outcome of the 7.
Check this disaster of a session out.
My CO 7 ratio is enormous and is ruining my dark side play.
I like having just one other at the table.
And was able to earn a bit off all of them.
Made the other guy a lot, who was betting big on hard ways and horns.
I think I need to adjust my betting again.
Shot myself in the foot repeated times with working on the come out going down on the seven.
Big issue of the day was the increase in sevens.
Out of 60 rolls I threw 14 sevens with 7 of those on the come out.
Doing a three finger grip, I let my fingers go further down the dice and I was adding extra spin and trying a lower shot to avoid bouncing off the table.
Might try practice the Yuri for future sessions.
Even playing a DP play as I do, I could not save myself.
After analysis I can see where I went wrong.
I need to pull back when I give myself an upper cut and grind it back before trying at that level again.
And I need to stop thinking of the clock and having to make it work in 1 hour or I have failed.
I was already late and had to get back to work so had to stop just as 2 new players joined in.
Threw a final CO seven and shot myself again so just passed the dice and walked.
Shameful display of craps play.
Was very grateful that when I arrived there was no one at the table.
I started slow to warm up.
I had 3 PSO out of 11 hands.
The others of note.
No one else at the table to enjoy it with me.
Had a pile of chip vomit in front of me after that hand.
I asked for a 2 min break to clean up my rack.
Had a good chat to dealers today.
Before the most slots club 2020 box man showed up.
He turns his nose up at anyone that sets the dice and tries to have a controlled shot.
I asked if the table was going to be removed.
They really have set it up for failure.
I suggested the golden arm comp again and they said it would never get off the ground because it required work from the marketing dept.
Had to get back to work so had to stop just this web page 2 new players joined in.
I was shocked to arrive and find 6 players half table full.
I refuse to squeeze in as I myself like room.
I waited and watched for 1 hour.
Finally got a spotstuck in the hook near the dealer.
But my time was up already and had to get back to work.
Had to wait some more for the dice.
By the time I got to shoot I was not in a state to shoot.
Mistake 4 First hand.
Decided I was late enough.
And had my share of mistakes, so quit for the day.
Lessons have been learned.
Time pressure got me on throw and betting.
Was really looking forward to today.
I was over my nerves mostly from last week.
Started at the table with just one regular today.
Got to shoot 7 times today.
vegas $5 blackjack 2020 I made money on each of them except for one PSO.
This play seems to paying off for me.
Regression is a beautiful thing.
I have no problems making the dealers work for me.
No one else regresses.
So I do get some strange looks.
I mentioned to the dealers about the golden arm comp that is in the USA.
They had no idea what I was talking about.
I emailed casino management this week with the idea to hold the golden arm comp in Australia.
It would be great for craps exposure and getting more people to the game.
I was pleasantly surprised my casino still had their craps table.
They are still threatening to close it.
Between tropical cyclones and then floods and then public holidays and then family commitments.
I felt like a newbie again sidling up to the table.
To the point were my nerves had come back.
Hands shaking level of nerves.
I decided to keep it simple today to break the nerves.
Everything went to plan today which was nice.
Being at SR1 agrees with me.
Used a 3V, 3 finger parr style toss, aimed for around 4cm from the back wall.
Made one point and had a 14 roll hand.
On my next throw I was going to try a low and slow toss to roll to the wall.
The other shooters were good to me.
So no time or need to have another shot.
My throw was uuuggghhhhlllly so I was really hoping to get another shot in to see if I could steady my nerves.
Oh well next week.
And some much needed practice required.
Shot myself in the foot with CO 7 twice on two separate hands.
I did have a 32 hand my best to date is 34 which was good.
But had sevens in the middle with the WOTCO knocked off my accumulated bets each time.
One regular player hit 4 horns in row and 2 players had big money on it.
He told the shooter after the hand that those lucky dice have been marked for removal and new dice will be used next shift.
I thought this was strange to pull dice because a couple of people made some big bets on the horn and won.
But I guess they can do whatever they like.
Those 2 guys were smart and walked straight after that hand.
They have their player cards in the system and know what they spend and take off the table.
I also know from listening to them banter with the dealers that they go back and play over the weekend.
What was interesting was that my DP 3 play and the WOTCO was affecting the betting of the others.
I really need to rack my chips better.
Good news, that after one and a half years 26.
I just hope next week there is still a table in the casino to play on.
Only had 45 mins.
Got the dice twice.
Both roles shot myself in the foot with seven on first roll.
Good news though is I made money on the other regulars.
I was happy to finally make use of the press and take strategy I learned from this forum.
Clapped him after that roll, truely thankful.
There was one newbie and he was hopeless.
Holding the dice both hands.
Rubbing dice together with both hands.
Taking the dice back over the rail out of sight.
Throwing one dice at a time down to the end.
Dealers were laughing, it was classic 2020 concerts shreveport casino not to do.
And really wanted to stick to it.
Take and press from there.
Why did I set such a plan?
I looked at my rolls over previous weeks and after last weeks debacle with my progression promised myself after a week of practice to get it right this time.
At least I think so anyway.
So may as well back yourself with the place numbers.
Good news is I was fully engaged at the table and the dealer and stick now had something to do.
Anyway he kept coming and going.
And while he was losing I https://indonesiaairsoft.com/2020/oklahoma-poker-tournaments-2020.html winning.
He asked the dealers what was going on and said is he betting against me.
And it was on from there.
Sniped him with 2 short rolls and he left for good.
Winning is more fun.
On the clock to get back to work and only had 1 hour.
Had a big chat with the dealers and the box man said the management are going to scrap craps from the Brisbane and Gold Coast casinos soon, so get my sessions in quick.
My next closest table is one and half hour plane flight to Sydney.
Another session second week in a row where I was all alone.
The dealers were just standing around doing nothing when I showed up.
Set a point and then push the seven.
Out of 16 hands.
Something I definitely need to work on.
My throws from SL-1 were decent.
And I found it very strange that a pit boss came over to watch me very intently for over 15 mins.
There was no one else at the table, and I was only betting small on DP, with no other bets.
I saw no reason for him to be so interested in me.
Perhaps it was my recording my rolls in my little notepad?
With no one else at the table and also losing and not winning, I felt wronged for having a pit boss scrutinise me.
Basically if I zigged the dice zagged.
If I zagged the dice zigged.
Playing the DP not even bringing in the DC, the dealers were almost falling asleep.
I patiently waited and it got awkward.
He finally realised that he actually had something to do, and was surprised that I was betting the numbers while doing a DP.
In the end my work time constraints kicked in, and the dealers are used to me know saying that I have to go back to work.
While I thoroughly enjoyed myself, having the table all to myself is such a treat, and doing another large session of 147 throws.
Which is great for my practice and getting used to the table.
My final take away out of this session, is that I absolutely need more practice.
These bets are only on the DP every single time.
The first time this happened I was totally unprepared, and so nervous I was shaking.
Now was a different story.
Just small nerves, which was good.
By myself I managed to squeeze in 163 throws in around an hour.
I was powering through the throws and bets.
And I apologised to the the dealers since it would be boring for them with they way I bet.
But they said they were enjoying the relaxed work.
Box man had nothing to do.
By the end of my session, I was worn out.
But in a good way.
I got to try out all sorts of landing zones and throw adjustments.
But mostly I was betting light.
It was a great practice session, which I hope to do again.
I wish I had of started charting sooner.
At the end of my hand, one regular player came to table, and saw I was throwing from the dark side.
He asked if the table was negative, and I said to join me.
And we both played dark on his hand.
He rolled the 7 two rolls later, and we both celebrated.
It was so refreshing to celebrate a roll ending 7 out loud and the dealers were laughing.
Had to return to work, otherwise could have stayed much longer.
I walked into the Casino following my nose to the craps table on the second floor, turned the final corner and my heart sank.
I thought WTF is going on here.
Walked around until I found a dealer on the floor that I recognised that regularly worked on the craps table, and he pointed me to a hole in the wall off the main gaming floor.
They had just 3 days earlier moved the table into a small side room, like a craps pit someone might have at home.
The table had no drop box and had not been setup yet, so my small lunch time 1 hour window was dwindling.
They said come back in an hour.
Thought what the hell, and went to play some Mini Baccarat.
The table had been given a new lease of life with a new black layout.
It even was not as spongy under the finger press test as it was before.
I took an early mark from work and gave myself 1 extra hour to have a game of craps.
The dealers seemed much happier with the new table location as did the players, including myself.
Nothing past 6 rolls.
The table is not as bouncy, and you can hear the dice a little bit as they hit the table.
If a field hits then make a bet looking for the twin repeat.
Took a small notepad with me today for first time to chart my performance.
Once again no one said anything from players or staff.
I just leave the notepad in full view on the chip rail.
I found it much harder to focus on my landing zone.
The table was choppy to cold.
The others were bleeding chips every hand.
Also lay single odds on DP if point was 4 and 10.
But I was happy just to get moving on a hand to test it out.
None of my other hands paid off and I lost money.
Took a longer lunch today and spent 2 hours at the table.
Less time pressure was good and a real treat for me.
Had a bit of a chat with the dealers and it turns out that management are questioning having the craps table in the casino.
What a croc of crap pardon the pun.
The dealers were talking about times when there are no players at all, and the management walk past an empty table and then blame the dealers and justify their position of closing the table.
Many times newbies come up to the table but they are made to not feel welcome to put their money down by the regular players.
If asked, they try to explain the whole game to the players, that then get confused and just walk away.
This to me is a management problem where they need t.
Looks of surprise on the other players faces.
What was most different about this session is that I tracked my roles on paper not just with a chip count!
Up until today I felt self conscious and embarrassed about it, because I have not seen anyone one else doing it.
Basically it was another chop session, with little in the way of break away rolls from anyone.
In fact I had my worst session yet in terms of shooting.
So embarrassed by it, but learned a lot again.
Straight out is hard for me, as I have a right shoulder problem at the best of times, and find it hard to get the dice down the end together.
I also fell down some stairs a few days ago and my back is now shot.
No excuse I should have therefore bet accordingly and went dark side across the board.
Then tanked badly on my own rolls.
Hmmm lots of lessons for me there.
Nothing wrong well harrahs casino concerts 2020 can using the same strategy on myself until I warm up.
Have to recoup my losses next week.
They deal 2 different games back to back.
Must be boring for them with no interaction with the players.
First time playing baccarat, and it was very confusing as the dealer was not standing on hands that I thought he should stand on.
And there was one hand I was sure player had won but he gave it banker and I lost my bet.
The casino is allowed a certain amount of pokie machines per fixed table game.
Then they are allowed more pokies.
Amazing way to get around legislation.
Anyway it was good to play a game sitting down.
And test out some basic line bet strategies faster than at the craps table.
Each hand happens every 45 seconds.
I have watched the full baccarat tables source even watching it is painful.
I just want to reach over and turn the damn thing over for them.
I like the speed of the game but dislike sitting alone tapping on a screen while at the casino without a dealer in front of you.
Seems kind of wrong.
Also I dislike that you have no connection to the outcome of the hand.
Which is why I always have and will continue to love the game of craps over any other game that people can come up with.
Maybe the skill based computer games that are now coming out in some USA casinos might sway my opinion on that if they ever get to Australia.
But in my humble opinion craps is still the best.
Looking forward to road testing more baccarat plays.
I have never seen this happen before.
Lots of rituals and processes they have to go https://indonesiaairsoft.com/2020/us-online-gambling-law-2020.html />The pit boss brings out the keys to unlock the chips and a secure ziplock bag for the dice.
Nice new purple ones today.
He said they had to stop that since the old dice were ending up coming back onto the table.
Crazy people that think they can swindle the casinos.
Took them what seemed like ages to open the table.
But it was worth it.
Chatted with the dealers getting to know then a bit more.
Got SL1 and first shot of the dice.
Was setting a 3V equivalent and doing three finger over hand toss with fingers right at the top getting some serious backspin and landing right up near the back wall.
Unfortunately could not get past 3 rolls.
Dice were splitting apart and rolling over in the air.
I could see it happening like it was in slow motion.
The other shooters were no better, and they were not dice setters but were at least not totally random rollers shaking and tossing.
They had a decent toss method.
I switched and started shooting dark.
And got my money back.
I actually love shooting dark avoiding the seven on come out and then pushing for the seven.
Must be my sadist nature coming out.
Since I had the dice so much I was able to try out lots of craps bouncy table covers />Really enjoyed this session.
And press up to 5 units before same bet.
Unfortunately as soon as I got to that stage on one number.
The most I could get was 11 tosses.
Bulk of them were 3 to 5 tosses.
Just enough to suck you in.
So just went with it as best I could.
Clawed my way back to just over even after some initial losses.
Still think this is a solid play.
Will try that next week.
Go figure should have stuck with dark side.
One guy burned through his money and left which is ashame as I wanted to test this system out.
The mad Russian who is a total random roller was also PPSO and he was getting really upset.
The stick man said Darth Maul shooter coming out.
I thought that was nice.
The Russian said WTF are you doing.
And after the roll ended quickly and he lost his bets and I won mine, shook his head, swore and said why would you do that.
Anyway tried to convince him to play dark with me and go with it.
Set for seven and got it quick.
I love quiet tables.
Fortunately they decided to not play.
Tried going dark side the 3rd time and shot myself in the foot so switched over on second point and just went with it and got some profit.
Had a few roles of 10 throws and two roles of 16 throws.
I just use my chips to count my throws.
Almost pulled myself back to even but once again ran out time.
The dice move quick with only 2 players so got my throws in.
For lots of nice practice.
Couple more players joined the table and I announced last roll for me as I had to get back to work.
Not bad overall for a really choppy run.
But once again, as I analyse my playing and growing confidence with the dice.
After a couple of hands to build confidence at the table and my spot.
I will try this bet method on myself next week.
But lots of practice in the mean time.
I waited 30 mins of my very small 1.
I was thinking no one was going to leave but a couple of sucker hands cleaned out 2 spots.
I really wanted to shoot but had 3 in front of me.
I fumbled trying to get my players card out and missed my buy in opportunity.
Of course the mad Russian guy was back and he was on fire and I was missing out.
The whale and the minnow.
I could feel I was under the pump with 15 mins left on my casino window.
Set for hard ways today.
I surprised myself with hitting my landing zone first time.
Hit 1 point on the 10.
Had a 10 roll hand.
Bad bets, late bets and hands all over place interrupting the shooting.
Glad I was at SL1 Thinking back I was never like that.
I only played dark side no odds, which made it easy for me to not get into trouble.
Had 3 ok rolls today.
The newbies were apart from getting in the way, farming the field and were enjoying the wins and not realising they were actually losing more than they were winning.
Did a couple DC action bets on the newbies.
Take and press and expanded out.
Concentrated on my own shooting.
But today I let my fingers go to bottom of the dice and not the top.
I was keeping the dice mostly together with not to much back spin, just focussing to get them neatly to the back wall.
Hands were 12 rolls, 10 rolls, 12 rolls respectively.
Stuck around a bit longer than normal but the table was filling up and I had to return to work.
At SL1 I should stay longer as I was getting comfortable with the position and the toss I was using.
No dice off the table today.
Of course 7 out.
Would have enjoyed shooting with him again.
I said hello and thanked him for it again and told him I would have enjoyed hitting some hard ways for him again.
It was a fast game with just 2 players especially because we were not doing prop bets.
Made some money before 7 pressing one unit at a time.
Trouble was the dice kept jumping off the table.
And I mean repeated no rolls.
Even the box man was giving me tips.
But not getting upset prob because no one at the table.
I got so sick of it I lobbed a bit harder one throw landed on the angled edge bottom of diamond and one dice jumped back into the dice bowl with the other dice.
I joking said same dice.
Everyone had a little chuckle.
But I can see the merit in it for when you need to back yourself.
Tried to recover a bit before my time was up.
I should have moved to SL1 and asked the other guy to move over a bit.
I find SO is very hard.
I have my meger bank roll stashed away in cash at home which I draw from for my sessions.
Mrs CJ has a strict no bank withdrawals allowed from our normal everyday bank accounts for my craps hobby.
Did ok Treaded water quite well on the other rollers.
But got the message.
He had a good rhythm roll style, so I backed him next time which ended up being worth it.
Set for 3V and kept bets low trying to stay as close to 10% of buyin as I could and still back myself.
My toss was not to good, dice splitting in flight a lot, spent most of the time trying to get them to stay together.
My practice through the week was exclusively from SO, so should have moved to SO when I had the chance.
The others rolls from everyone else were mostly short and they were getting frustrated.
Since I was treading water with them I was ok.
Nothing special about today to report.
Really wanted to stick around for SL1 but had to get back to work.
I patiently waited for the hand to end and then asked to make some room.
Nice shooter at SL1 had a 16 roll.
He had great control.
Told him I liked his style and was looking forward to his next roll.
Hit a few more non paying numbers for me.
But good for others.
Virgin lady shooter to finish off.
She had a good roll.
I told her but by then the next number rolled.
A ten and told her to move it to ten.
Lucky the very next roll was nine.
Must have been over 20 rolls each.
The hard ways were flying chips going everywhere.
Rested the dice against the back wall at 45deg before toss which helped me stabilise.
Set for all 7s and 3v.
Had a nice hand of around 16 with 2 points.
Lots of hard ways.
But it was very generous of him.
Just waiting to start take and press.
Lost one hardway on easy 8.
Went back up on it.
Then the second half of table opens up.
Must have been a good 5 mins getting setup.
I should have come down or turned off.
Next roll seven out.
Had to get back to work.
But really enjoyed the session.
Very interesting to gauge the players.
AKA choppy table short leash play.
Got a win on that as well.
The 4 other players on SR passed the dice.
Set 3V and had a nice roll of 14.
And dice were landing ok.
But it felt ok.
Took 2 hits same bet and chips moved around craps bouncy table covers the point shifted to other numbers.
Today was first time I saw a guy play both sides.
Then would lay 2x odds on the DP.
Had just stopped in after work so quick hit and run as per usual.
I always make a point of thanking the dealers and others for the game.
I think the dealers are starting to recognise me now.
Aimed for close to back wall and much better dice dying after hitting wall.
Really prefer this position.
Interesting note: a whole family was playing, Mum, Dad and kids and they had something going with the pit boss since he was asking them what drinks they wanted.
In Australia on the normal casino floor you usually have to get your own drinks.
They were all bleeding chips and throwing the dice off the table every second shot.
It was a circus.
They had very short hands.
Got knocked off the DC few times with the 7.
Should have done a DP instead.
Got the dice and had a 13 roll hand with 2 points.
Still not consistent enough with toss and need to concentrate to remain focused.
Stick change mid hand.
And then they opened up the other side of the table.
Was ashame as SL1 was agreeing with me.
Had 3 turns with the dice no more than 6 rolls each.
Concentrating on dice behaving same each toss and hitting my chosen landing zone.
Will try again next week.
Once he got the money he disappeared.
Had to get back to work so no time to try something different.
But much prefer SL1.
One other player who set 2V and had a relaxed toss from way up high near chip rail was at SL1.
Kept PSO and losing money like crazy.
Was a regular as the dealers knew him.
He got 2 points in 8 rolls after he disappeared for 10 mins and reappeared with more cash.
Only to lose all that as well.
Lessons for me not to do the same.
I had 3 rolls of 6, 9 and 7 numbers, no points made.
My setting is getting better.
Toss landing still moving around.
Trying to find the best place to land.
However I have to stop doubting myself.
Kept getting picked off.
Got beat 7 times in a row.
So called it a day.
One guy had a unique toss reverse pincer grip no setting.
Looked great but random.
Dice were jumping off the table Was nervous again slight tremble And was not confident in my toss which was very rough.
But not my day to shine.
It was crowded half table.
Got the dice after 2 mins.
Then the nerves kicked in had to go so left.
The box man was joined by another suit and were in a long discussion and watching until I sevened out.
Never had a long roll before, so that was new.
Couple of players had the box numbers in the hundreds, which started to add extra pressure.
A lot of money was on the table.
Made everyone a lot of money.
Was pleased with the result but my toss was still very rough.
Tried to use some new sets I got from Ninja Craps 3V equivalent.
But set it wrong quite a few times under pressure.
Never been on an empty table before.
Weird feeling as the dealers have nothing to do.
Great speed with dice.
Very nervous and hungry and was shaking the whole time.
Started at straight out.
Dice bouncing every where.
Very little roll back off the wall.
Would have loved to have stayed.
Kept putting more money on table.
They seemed to know what they were talking about but it was beyond me.
Should stick to a plan.
Only had 45 mins Bet on 2 brand new shooters that have never thrown before big mistake.
Point 7 outs My throws were still no good.
Must come down after first throw.
There is plenty of time to come down Felt rushed to set.
And had stick right 1.
Much easier to throw from this spot then straight out.
The game was very slow.
In this episode, I unbox some dice from Axis Power Craps and record some practice throws on my practice rig setup from position stick right 1.
I have setup a prototype of a shooting rail.
CJ In this episode, I record some practice throws on my practice rig setup from position stick right 1.
The beer carton was my temporary rail solution.
My practice rig is very flexible as I can change positions left and right and straight out and also adjust distances to whatever I like.
CJ In this episode, I unveil my new practice layout which was designed for my new craps table which I will be building this year.
I then do some practice throws.
I will setup better camera angles next time, with multiple cameras.
This will allow me to analyse my throw more effectively.
What an eye opening experience and so full of learning moments.
The outcome of the session impressed on me just how much of a student of Craps I am, and how I have only just started and have so much more to learn.
